It’s never too late to learn web programming and it’s never going to be a problem if you’re looking to enhance your web development skills. Why pay ridiculous amounts of money to go to college to learn web development when you can learn everything on the internet for free. Don’t get me wrong I’m not discouraging college or university, because it’s always a good idea to have the “official paperwork” showing what you have achieved.
But in this field you can achieve all of this online for free and probably learn a lot more too. You won’t have the credentials, but you will certainly have the skills. Plus not every household can afford to send their kids to college so learning from a free source is ideal. Some of these resources are actually complete university courses that don’t cost a thing.
Learn Web Development
There are so many dedicated and experienced web developers who are always providing tutorials to help teach you how to develop websites.. Here are some of them.
Codeacademy.com is a free resource for tutorials to help teach you a number of web related languages.

websitesetup.org is a simple step-by-step guide that can teach anyone how to develop a website. It will teach you how to have a website up and running within 30 minutes.
udemy.com is a fee and free based course provider. Udemy provides tutorials for web design and web development such as
- Photoshop and Lightroom Tutorials
- And the list could go on
Half of these courses are free and half of them you will have to pay for.. Just turn the filter to “free” courses when searching through their website.

Personally I find the best way for me to learn is through video tutorials and following along with the videos. Some people prefer reading text books, I like watching videos and seeing things in action. Maybe you are the same? Take a look..

Coursera.org provides you with free university courses that can teach you basic and advanced programming. Click the link above to browse through their extensive list of university courses.
Edx is another free resource for university courses, they provide programming, computer science and other types of courses.
There are a few interactive games that can help teach you how to program. These are great, especially if you are planning on introducing programming to your children.
kidsruby.com is a simple game that can teach a child how to program using Ruby. Age 6+.
Kodu lets kids and adults create games using a simple visual programming language. It’s also available for XBox.
